Policy Aims and Objectives
The aim of this policy is to prevent accidents, injuries, ill health, and damage to property arising from our operations. Management Responsibilities
The management of Movers Bermondsey has overall responsibility for establishing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety arrangements. Managers will provide leadership in safety matters, ensure that appropriate resources are available, and regularly review procedures to keep them relevant to our services and operating areas. They will ensure that employees receive suitable information, instruction, and training, and that any accidents, incidents, or near misses are investigated and acted upon.
Employee Responsibilities
All employees have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions. Staff must follow safety instructions, use equipment correctly, and cooperate with all safety procedures and training. Employees are responsible for reporting hazards, defects, unsafe practices, or any incident that results in, or could result in, injury or damage. Deliberate disregard of safety procedures may result in disciplinary action.

Any employee who is unfit or unsure about their fitness for specific tasks must inform their manager so that suitable adjustments or alternative duties can be considered.
Training, Information, and Supervision
We will provide all employees with appropriate induction training covering our health and safety procedures, emergency arrangements, and safe working practices. Additional training will be given in areas such as manual handling, vehicle safety, and the correct use of equipment as required by their role.
